Study Abroad at the University of London
The program at Royal Holloway of the University of London was established in 1983. Sweet Briar students study with British students in a residential college of about 5,000, situated at Egham in Surrey, 20 miles from the center of London, where they have access to a full range of academic programs.
All teaching is concentrated in two semesters, with the short term in summer devoted to examinations. JYA students who come to Royal Holloway only for the first semester will be assessed by their performance in essays and other work, together with a major paper or project. Students who come for the full year or the second semester only will be assessed by a formal examination in the exam term.
